Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Wholly own proactive media relations for retained Tamarindo Communications clients
  • Develop, draft and distribute strong, well written editorial content – ranging from editorial pitches, press releases, by-lined articles, newsletters and blogs
  • Be able to direct client media relations not only in regard to the current news of the day, but also alongside commercial client objectives
  • Be able to construct and manage an effective marketing campaign for clients including crafting channel-appropriate social content and mining engaging newsletter and blog content that responds to commercial client objectives
  • Ability to confidently build relationships with key journalists and editors – telephoning and meeting with contacts, rather than relying on email
  • Ability to build solid relationships with key clients becoming a ‘go-to’ resource, building their confidence not only in your understanding and knowledge of the media, but also their commercial proposition
  • Support and management of junior staff and a clear and proven interest and ability to work independently and as part of a wider account team
  • Exemplary preparation and delivery of client activity reports, contact reports, meeting notes and such like to ensure the smooth daily running of client accounts
