1. Programme Design:

- Write and produce commercially viable conference programmes for each of Tamarindo’s events, including our Financing Wind conference series, our Wind Investment Awards programme and other associated seminars, roundtables, as appropriate

- Identify key topics, debates, industry challenges and opportunities for discussion through in-depth market research (desk, phone and face to face), working closely with our Managing Director and our Membership Content team

- Identify and invite speakers for each session that will be attractive to delegates attending each event

- Create engaging copy for each session title and descriptor to be re-purposed for marketing and other communications

- Act as a conduit for the wider team, to regularly update on market and business intelligence picked up from networking and discussion

- Work closely with colleagues to mutually support and complement event and member marketing schedules including HTML emails, website, social media and internal communications with staff and members

- Put together comprehensive proposals for new events, as required

- Build, manage and host quarterly Advisory Boards comprised of senior members that will help to identify industry topics, speakers and commercial opportunities

2. Speaker Management:

- Invite speakers and be accountable for speaker management, from invitation to event day, working with our Event Operations team

- Be accountable to our customers and affiliated partners, typically senior industry leaders and commercial sponsors, on all matters to do with their speaker and speaker commitments, for each individual event

- Collate speaker feedback and action and disseminate accordingly

3. Business Development:

- Assist the Commercial team in securing, and retaining, sponsorship for all Tamarindo events

- Advise the Commercial team on prospective leads, market developments and wider partnership opportunities

4. Representation:

- Represent Tamarindo at national and international events, taking an active interest in the subject matter of our industry and sector

- This role will require some travel across the UK and globally including nights away from home

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Experience of designing events programmes
  • Exceptional customer services manner and confidence with face-to-face communications
  • Exceptional networking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Educated to Graduate Level or demonstrate equivalent professional development
  • Experience of organising or supporting conferences and exhibitions
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy sector – or a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Proven listening, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to self-manage and work effectively as a member of a team
  • Ability to take responsibility, use initiative to prioritise and work effectively to tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel – this role will require some travel across the UK and globally
