Role Overview

Following a period of sustained growth, we are looking for an ambitious, motivated, and target driven individual to join our membership team.

A good portion of your time will be spent on the phone and corresponding via email to senior industry executives, communicating the value of our products and services.

Working as part of small and very busy team, the successful candidate will be initially responsible for the activation of the membership engagement campaign ahead of our key May 2021 event; Financing Wind Europe and Wind Investment Awards.

In addition to this, there will be an element of wider sales and marketing project work – supporting wider sales in content generation surrounding email templates, as well as supporting marketing initiatives such as email campaigns,.

The initial, 3-month fixed term contract role is central to the success of the commercial team and provides essential support for the long-term growth of our membership proposition. If successful, the intent is to extend into a full-time post.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Outreach by phone and email to designated contacts at all of our member organisations (200+ companies) to encourage them to maximise the value of their membership and specifically, our events and reports programme.
  • Manage the member delegate registration process from start to finish.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and implement a rolling strategy of communications to keep registrants engaged ahead of any future event.
  • Communicate effectively internally, to ensure the member engagement and communications programme is aligned with the business development team
  • Develop positive relationships with our membership and also with our own tight-knit team, through a consistent, data and analytics driven approach.
  • Be responsible for delivering against key membership activation and event engagement KPIs, with a particular focus on registrant passes on event day.
  • Support the business development team with early-stage lead qualification, as and when required. This will include using our proven sales and marketing methods (via phone and written correspondence) to generate Sales Qualified Leads via both inbound and outbound sales and marketing enquiries.
  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism, communication, and good judgement with the ability to work independently with C-suite and senior professionals at our current client organisations.
  • Provide relevant, reliable, and appropriate feedback to the business development team in real time; create and distribute internal progress reports as and when required.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong sales skills and account management experience, preferably obtained in a professional B2B environment or previous delegate sales role
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to understand and digest information (i.e. Membership package agreements, client account strategy)
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Proven ability to interact with senior decision-makers
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast- paced team
  • Effective time management
  • Good working knowledge and proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Previous CRM and database experience (Hubspot preferred)
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Available to start immediately

Interest in renewable energy market is preferable but not essential.

Remuneration and benefits

At Tamarindo Group we offer a competitive salary, 25 days pro rata annual leave and a good work life balance. Office hours are 9.00 until 5.30, with the ability for individuals to work remotely and from home if and when required.

Access to a competitive company pension scheme is available immediately. We're a young, enthusiastic and fast growing team located in the centre of Oxford. This is a fixed, 3 month initial post with the opportunity to extend.
