Role Overview:

Tamarindo Group is a specialist networks, communications and insight agency, focused on the global renewable energy markets. Following sustained growth, we are looking for an experienced, analytical and client focused sales executive to establish meaningful relationships with our prospects and drive sales for our membership and events team.

The right candidate will be an ambitious self-starter, with proven sales and business development experience. The right candidate will be looking to join a fast growing media, marketing & events business and gain a valuable insight into the changing dynamics that exist within the global renewable energy markets.

The Business Development Manager role is best suited to a degree-educated individual with at least three years’ of sales and key account management experience, strong CRM analytics experience, exceptional attention to detail and a track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships. The candidate will have a proven track record for hitting, and exceeding, agreed sales targets.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Work with our Business Development Director to develop and build deep new and existing member relationships with key identified accounts through;
    • Careful research and ongoing industry engagement, in order to better understand, and respond to critical member needs;
    • satisfying membership requirements through our core membership service offerings – always driving up the average membership value
  • Continually seek a deeper understanding of the needs of new and existing members, and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these critical needs;
  • Think strategically – demonstrating a clear ability to see the bigger picture as we work together to develop, refine and improve our corporate membership offering;
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective members, as and when required.

Key Skills & Attributes

The right candidate will have a strong record of performance in membership, sponsorship and consultative sales, exceeding targets and growing accounts year on year. They will also:

  • Have at least three years B2B account management experience
  • Have strong written and verbal communication
  • Have a proven ability to manage projects to deadline
  • Have a proven ability to work within a small team
  • Be knowledgeable of marketing and brand communication techniques
  • Have experience using Hubspot and have a strong digital competency
  • Be confident in building and developing strong senior client relationships
  • Offer strong account management, project management and organisation skills
  • Have a good knowledge of marketing, management, budgeting, and planning
  • Offer up excellent negotiating skills, confidence, and discretion
  • Have an interest in renewable energy, maritime, and financial services markets

Our office hours are 9.00 – 5.30, Monday to Friday. Working outside of office hours is sometimes required but it is not encouraged.

Location

Central Oxford, UK HQ but remote working is actively encouraged and adopted.

Having the ability and flexibility to travel overseas for business is essential.
